Mounted it in the garage and it catches me every time before I'm even at the door. The 30-foot range is no joke—I tested it from the far wall and it still triggered. Two-year battery claim is what sold me, since I hate climbing up to swap cells.
The 100° detection range reaches my whole driveway, and it hasn't missed a single car pulling in. Battery's rated for two years, so I don't have to think about it again anytime soon.
Picked this up to cover my back patio and it catches me every time I let the dog out at night. The 30-foot range is plenty for my yard, though I had to angle it a bit lower than expected to avoid the trees setting it off.
